Jack Is PFA Community Champion

Jack Iredale Community Award

Jack Iredale has been named as Wanderers’ PFA Community Champion 2023/24.

Iredale was nominated for the award by Bolton Wanderers in the Community in recognition of his outstanding commitment to the local community over the course of the season.

The Whites’ defender has consistently stepped up and showed a willingness to get stuck in and naturally engage with all members of the community in support of the official Wanderers’ charity.

Iredale said: “The Community team at Bolton does such good job in connecting the club to the fans and to the players, with everyone pushing in the same direction.

“I think it makes a massive impact. Any chance you get to make more of that personal connection, and seeing us as players in the local community, makes a massive difference.

“I think it’s a really important award (from the Professional Footballers Association), so I’m glad to have that kind of recognition.”

Iredale has been involved and supported a number community events and campaigns over the year, such as tackling loneliness at BWitC’s over-55s Extra Time Hub, engaging with young fans at Junior Whites parties, supporting a Community fun day at Arnold Clark’s motor retailers and joining the rest of Ian Evatt’s squad in visiting Royal Bolton Hospital, Bolton Hospice and Derian House at Christmas.

The 27-year-old was also the recipient of the Bolton Wanderers Community Champion award at the club’s 2023/24 End of Season Awards after playing a full part in helping to bolster the club’s and the charity’s vision of a connected Bolton without disadvantage.
