Wanderers’ striker Johnny Kenny has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award for April.
The on-loan Celtic youngster earns his place on a four-man short-list after a superb run of form last month.
Kenny scored in all five of his appearances during April and didn’t finish on the losing side as Steven Schumacher’s men closed out a play-off place.
The 22-year-old’s five goals – taking his tally for Wanderers up to half-a-dozen since signing on loan from the Scottish Premiership champions at the end of January – included a superb strike at Bradford City to secure the point which set up a play-off semi-final showdown with the Bantams.
Also included on the short-list for the League One prize are Lincoln City’s promotion-winning captain Tendayi Darikwa, Stevenage goalkeeper Filip Marschall, who kept four clean sheets in April wrapped around a 5-1 loss at Wanderers, and Luton Town’s attacking midfielder Kasey Palmer, who also scored five times in the month.
The judging panel for the awards comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies, with the winners being announced on Friday.
