Gaizka Larrazabal says Wanderers cannot wait to get back in front of a bumper crowd when Stoke City visit the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
The summer signing scored his first goal in Wanderers colours in the 4-3 win at Carrow Road before the international break, a strike he rates as probably the best of his career.
After a few months at the club, Larrazabal is enjoying life at Bolton Wanderers.
"I enjoy it, to be honest," he said. "It's everything I was looking for when I came here: the fans, the experience and the environment in the stadium, and also my teammates. I have to say, I enjoy it a lot."
"This is going to be mine"
Larrazabal's goal at Norwich came straight from the week's preparation on the training ground.
"We spoke all week about how their wingers weren't defending when we were attacking, so I knew at some point that ball would probably come to me," he said. "I saw the ball bouncing and I thought, 'This is going to be mine.' I shot with all my power, I scored, and it was an unbelievable feeling."
The win at Carrow Road made it two in a row for Wanderers, following the 1-0 home victory over Cardiff City.
"I can't describe it with one word," he said. "It's amazing to end up winning 4-3 in a stadium like that, against that kind of team. It came from all the work we did the week before and the way we were playing in the other games too. I think we deserved more, but finally we got it. I really think that if we keep doing the same work, we're going to achieve more."
Ready to go again
Given the choice, Larrazabal would have played straight on after Norwich.
"If I have to choose, I would say the break came at a bad time, because after the way we won at Norwich, everyone wanted even more: come on, next game," he said. "But we're here now. We have a game tomorrow and we're all back together. The players who went away with their international teams are back, so we're ready and we're focused on Saturday."
He credits that readiness to the spirit within the squad.
"Everything we go through together, whenever the team loses or wins, all those feelings make the group stay together," he said. "I think it's because we all want the same goal and that keeps the group together."
Loving the Championship
Having played in Spain and Portugal, Larrazabal says the Championship has given him even more than he expected.
"Maybe it's a little bit more," he said. "I have many friends who play in the Championship and they told me, 'You're going to love the league.' The competition is very intense, but it's worth it and I really love it."
With more than 25,000 tickets already sold for Saturday, his message to supporters is simple.
"We can't wait for the game. We're going to give everything, as we did in the last game. I hope we all enjoy it and we will work so hard to get the three points."
