Loan Move For Lawrence

Daeshon Lawrence celebration Shrewsbury

Young striker Daeshon Lawrence has joined FC United of Manchester on a month’s loan.

The 19-year-old moves to the Northern Premier League outfit to gain further first-team experience and the chance to play competitive football over a busy part of the season.

Lawrence came through the youth ranks with Wanderers and after a prolific campaign in helping the Whites win the EFL Youth Alliance last season earned a first-team debut.

Boss Steven Schumacher gave the teenager a first senior appearance at Peterborough in April before a similar outing off the bench in Wanderers’ final League One game of the season at home to Stevenage.

After signing a first professional deal with the Whites in July, Lawrence then scored in a pre-season friendly at Shrewsbury Town and made his full debut at home to Sheffield Wednesday in a Carabao Cup tie in August ahead of a further appearance of the bench in the Vertu Trophy last month.

His temporary move to Broadhurst Park will see him link up with fellow Wanderers’ youngster Ajay Weston and potentially be available for seven fixtures before the turn of the year as The Reds look to continue their promotion push in the NPL Premier Division and progress in the FA Trophy.
