pitch invasion

With the second leg of our Play-Off Semi Final taking place this evening, we would like to take this opportunity to firstly thank you for your fantastic support this season.

This was emphasised once again on Friday night. Whether you were part of the 2,163 roaring the lads on at Barnsley, amongst the hundreds of Wanderers in our Leasing Options Fan Zone or backing the team elsewhere - we felt your support.

As we return home on the back of a vital result, we need you to once again bring the noise and back the boys until the final whistle.

With over 23,500 already securing their seat, and with so much to play for as we look to secure our place at Wembley, it is understandable that emotions will run high this evening.

However, we must remind supporters that in the interests and safety of all attending the game at the Toughsheet Community Stadium that the pitch is for managers, players and officials – and it’s from the stands that you can support Ian Evatt and the lads.

The FA, EFL and the police have together introduced measures and sanctions to tackle the increased anti-social and criminal behaviours seen recently at football matches, including the act of supporters entering the field of play.

It is a criminal offence to enter the pitch at any time, and anyone who does so is putting the safety of those around them at risk. For individuals, it is as serious as facing a footballing ban and police action.

These actions can also have consequences for the club, with potential investigations and sanctions being imposed as a result.

Furthermore, supporters are also reminded that other dangerous and illegal behaviour, including the use of pyrotechnics, throwing objects, abuse of any kind, drug use and discrimination will not be tolerated.

Thank you once more for your ongoing support.

We look forward to welcoming you all back to the Toughsheet for one final time this season, and seeing you create an unbelievable atmosphere as we aim to reach the Play-Off Final, together.
