Match Preview Exeter

Wanderers are looking to get back to winning ways this weekend in Devon but do hold an unbeaten record of nine games.

The last time the Whites faced the Grecians they took home a 2-1 win at the Toughsheet Community Stadium with goals from Sam Dalby and Thierry Gale.

Exeter City have failed to win in any of their last six games but have only lost once, with those five draws taking the Grecians safely away from the relegation zone.

Their previous game was a goal fest drawing 3-3 with Peterborough United. Patryk Sykut gave Posh an early lead before Jayden Wareham scored a eight minute hat-trick in the second half to give city a comfortable advantage.

But the two-goal margin was cancelled out by a Harry Leonard brace as Peterborough and Exeter shared the points.

Press Conference

Steven Schumacher: "They've impressed me loads, I say I've watched them a lot since we played them last time in December and they've done really well.

They're in a good rhythm, they look as though they're a team playing with confidence and have got good players."

Exeter City Interim Manager Dan Green: "I think we're at that time in the season where everyone's got something to play for, the real positive for us is that we've got a bank of experience of playing at our home games and seeing the team perform positively.

"We understand what we need to do to get in top of these games, to involve the crowd within these games, and build a real energy.

Team News

Ruben Rodrigues has returned to training, spending a session with the medical team on Tuesday before rejoining the main group on Thursday.

John McAtee will be missing for this weekend's trip and potentially next week's home game against Wycombe with a small hamstring strain following a scan.
