Match Preview Huddersfield Town

Wanderers are in action on Thursday night under the lights as they travel to West Yorkshire to take on Huddersfield Town at The Accu Stadium with a kick-off time of 8pm.

The Whites enjoyed a 1-0 victory in Huddersfield the last time these sides met as Julian Darby, Andy Taylor and Andrew Tutte took interim charge for the first time.

Huddersfield suffered defeat last time out as they fell to ten man Stockport County on Saturday in a 2-1 defeat. The Terriers also fell to defeat against Harrogate in the Vertu Trophy.

Town got their last three points in Devon at the end of September over Exeter City as Leo Castledine scored the only goal of the game for Lee Grant's side.

Press Conferences

Steven Schumacher: "It's a real important night and we want to make sure that we go there and put in a performance that suits us, looks like us, and try and get a result that we feel as though our performance deserves, which we haven't done away from home.

"There's no hiding behind the fact we need to win more and this night gives us an opportunity to try and do that. The Burton game has gone, it's done. We spoke about it earlier in the week, it's done. We understand what went wrong on that day and we're focusing on this one."

Huddersfield Town Boss Lee Grant: "I think our first seven games everybody’s going like, 'Oh my goodness, this is incredible' now, I think if I was to rewind and listen to myself talking after those first seven games, I’ll probably hear myself saying things like, ‘we’ve got to perform a little bit better, we’ve still got bits to improve on, we’re not the finished article’.

"So I’m not changing that narrative now, just because we’ve gone in the last five league games, win, loss, draw, win, loss and we’ll see where we go in the next one."
