Match Preview | Leyton Orient v Wanderers

Preview

Wanderers head to the Capital this weekend to face Leyton Orient in Sky Bet League One.

After a pleasing performance in midweek and pushing Premier League Luton Town all the way, Ian Evatt’s men will be hoping to replicate that level of performance at the Gaughan Group Stadium against Richie Wellen’s side.

Manager quotes

Ian Evatt: “Orient are on a very good run of form and have been very consistent since we played them at home. They’re a dangerous team, we’ve analysed them and we know what’s coming so we’ll be well prepared.

“It’s a great challenge for us but one we’re looking forward to. The players are in good spirits so we’ll go again and do the best we can."

Team News

Will Forrester has been ruled out for a number of weeks after picking up a hamstring issue against Luton Town on Tuesday night.

Randell Williams has recovered from being ill last week and will be available for selection on Saturday.

Gethin Jones and Carlos Mendes Gomes remain away with their respective countries on international duty.

Form guide

Orient have hit a purple patch of late with, coincidentally, their only loss in the previous five games coming against Wanderers in the return fixture.

After the Whites raced to a three-goal lead in the early stages of that game, Richie Wellen’s side are yet to concede a goal since which naturally has produced positive results in E10.

Three wins and a draw in the fixtures since have propelled Orient to 10th position in League One.

With the tragic events in our last league fixture, Wanderers’ last league game was on New Years Day with a series of cup matches in between.

Nonetheless, Ian Evatt’s troops are on a four game winning run in League One which they’ll have to work hard to maintain this weekend.
