Wanderers face a Good Friday trip to Home Park for a Sky Bet League One fixture away at Plymouth Argyle, which will see Head Coach Steven Schumacher come up against his old club.
Following the international break, the Whites will be aiming to respond positively following a 1-0 defeat at Port Vale last time out.
Awaiting Wanderers in Devon are Tom Cleverley’s Pilgrims, who have won four out of their last five games in the third-tier, with victories in March over Doncaster Rovers, Wigan Athletic, Stevenage and Huddersfield Town and a draw at Reading.
The run of form has moved Plymouth up to ninth on 59 points, two points from the play-off places.
Wanderers were winners when the two teams met in August 2025, with Eoin Toal and Mason Burstow on target in a 2-0 triumph at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
Press Conferences:
Steven Schumacher:
“This is an exciting game for a few different reasons. It’s against a team who are really in-form, a team who are trying to push for the play-offs and a team who are difficult to beat on their home pitch, as I well know.
“I’m really looking forward to it. The lads will know what to expect and it’s going to be a really exciting game.
“You have to be at your best in every game in this league and if you drop your standards, you get punished.
"Plymouth had a difficult start to the season but I think it’s fair to say, they’ve changed their style and they’ve gone on an unbelievable run. We need to make sure we’re right at it.”
Plymouth Argyle Head Coach, Tom Cleverley:
“[Bolton have an] outstanding squad. They've got two top-class players in every position for this level. I think they are the team that probably have the most match winners in their squad, the most guys who can turn a game that looks like it could be a draw, into a victory. We've got to be wary of them.
“They're dominating possession, they've created a lot of chances, they're probably unhappy with how many of those they've converted, but we have to be as good as we were against Cardiff, as good as we were against Huddersfield.
“Obviously, there's some the added stuff of Schuey's history with the club. I think any time two teams in the top 10 play each other at this stage of the season in the EFL, it's a game not only for both supporters of the clubs but for the neutral that catches the eye. This will be no different and we want to make sure that we're on the right end of the result.”
Team News:
Amario Cozier-Duberry has been involved in training at Lostock as he continues his rehabilitation from a knee injury, however, a post-Easter return is the target.
