Steven Schumacher's first test as Wanderers Head Coach is a trip to Berkshire on Saturday to face Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
The former Plymouth Argyle and Stoke City Boss takes charge of a Wanderers side who are in fine form having taken maximum points in their last two games under the interim management of Julian Darby, Andy Taylor and Andrew Tutte.

Saturday's hosts sit in 10th, three points behind Wanderers. In midweek they were on the wrong side of a five goal thriller losing away to Burton Albion on Tuesday night.
Press Conference
New Wanderers Head Coach Steven Schumacher: "This means everything to me. It's a fantastic opportunity and I'm really grateful to be given it by Sharon and the ownership group. It's a fantastic club with a rich history and the journey and the project here is something I can't wait to get involved with.
"It's been an interesting career journey for me so far and I'm now at a fantastic club, a club which I believe can go on and do great things this season and in the future.

Reading Boss Noel Hunt: "We again didn’t have it all our way, big moments in the game went against us, but we just have to control what we can – but looking ahead to Saturday, we have to build on the good parts of our performance. Like I’ve said many times, these lads are fighting tooth and nail, giving their all.
"I understand that fans get frustrated, trust me I’ve been there, but these boys are living and breathing this 24/7. It’s an emotional rollercoaster for some of these boys, especially at this time of year, but it shows the character we have inside the dressing room."
Team News
Wanderers will check on defenders Eoin Toal and Ricardo Almeida Santos after spells out through injury, while striker Victor Adeboyejo will also be assessed after being withdrawn from the mid-week win over Northampton with a slight groin issue.
The Whites have recruited forward Kion Etete on loan from Cardiff but the trip to Reading could come too soon for him to figure as he is given time to build up his fitness levels following a recent injury absence.

Reading's top scorer Sam Smith left the club today to join fellow League One side Wrexham. He is fourth in the League One goalscoring chart with eleven goals.
Form Guide
Off the back of two consecutive victories, Wanderers will be full of confidence heading into this fixture only outside the play-off places on goal difference.
The previous two matches between the two sides were both played at the Toughsheet Community Stadium with the Whites winning both games with the scoreline of 5-2.

The hosts are on a run of three straight defeats and are yet to win at home in 2025. Stockport County, Leyton Orient and Burton Albion all claimed three points against Noel Hunt's side but they remain just three points from the play-off places.
The Royals clearly have their shooting boots on at home scoring seven goals in their last three games at the Select Car Leasing Stadium so a clean sheet for Steven Schumacher's Whites will be no easy feat.
