Wanderers travel to the ASSEAL New York Stadium this weekend looking to strengthen their push near the top of League One as they face a struggling Rotherham side. The Whites took home a 2-1 win at the Toughsheet Stadium in the reverse fixture, thanks to a dramatic stoppage time winner from Josh Sheehan.
Last week's performance was one for the history books as Steven Schumacher's Whites came back from the depths of defeat, thanks to super-subs, Rodrigues 88', Burstow 90+1' and Blackett-Taylor 90+5'. As Wanderers recorded their 12th goal past the 90th minute this season, more than any other side in English football this season.
The Millers have experienced a mixed run of form, having won one in their last five, leaving the side three points from safety in 22nd.
Rotherham's previous game saw them lose 1-0 away at Huddersfield in a hardly fought affair. An own goal from Lenny Agbaire in the 76th minute was enough to get the Terriers over the line.
Press Conference
Steven Schumacher: ''It's not easy for us to go there. We haven't won there for a long time. So I believe its a tough game. I know they're in the relegation zone, but they'll be fighting for their lives.
They were unlucky last week at Huddersfield, when they got beat. They've recently beaten Argyle at home. So it won't be an easy game for sure.'
Rotherham United's Assistant Manager Dale Tongue: ''I think you've seen over the past five games, despite a couple of losses, going back to the Bradford game, there were a lot of good things defensively.
“I think what where we were lacking was the forward areas, so that's been a big emphasis over the course of the week.''
Team News
Quiet on the injury front for Wanderers as Steven Schumacher has no fresh injury concerns.
