Match Preview | Wanderers v Blackpool

preview

Wanderers take on Blackpool this weekend at the Toughsheet Community Stadium looking to build on their eight-match unbeaten run which has included five victories.

Mason Burstow's 95th minute equaliser against Reading on Tuesday night kept that run intact as Wanderers continue their efforts to close the gap on the top two in Sky Bet League One.

Blackpool suffered a heavy 4-0 home defeat to the hands of Plymouth Argyle last Saturday but bounced back with a 1-0 win over Mansfield Town on Tuesday night.

The Tangerines currently sit 17th in the table on 36 points, two points above the drop zone.

Press Conference

Steven Schumacher: "I don't think anyone was expecting Blackpool to be where they are in the league and have obviously changed manager but they have a team full of quality players and they'll be motivated for a derby game.

"There's clearly something on the game and one we want to try and take advantage of at home. We want to play as well as we can and hopefully be more clinical to go with the good play we've been creating. It's a good test for us and we need to be ready for it."
