Match Preview | Wanderers v Bradford City

preview

Wanderers return to action on Saturday afternoon when Bradford City are the visitors to the Toughsheet Community Stadium for a highly-anticipated Sky Bet League One fixture.

Steven Schumacher’s Whites currently sit fourth in the table after three straight wins in the third-tier, as Wanderers aim for nine successive home victories.

With over 25,000 supporters set to be in attendance this weekend, it promises to be a fantastic atmosphere in BL6 as the fourth in the division welcomes third following Wanderers' international break.

Standing in Wanderers’ way are Graham Alexander’s high-flying Bantams, who make the journey across the Pennines from West Yorkshire having enjoyed a fine start back in Sky Bet League One.

The Valley Parade outfit achieved promotion last season, and have since collected 27 points from their 15 matches played so far in 2025/26.

Press Conferences

Steven Schumacher: “We’re all ready for the game at the weekend.

“It’s going to be a really tough period of games and the schedule when we get to Christmas, there’s back-to-back games and so many games in such a short period of time. We’ve had a full contingent out on the training pitch so we have 100% availability so that’s been positive.

“We’ve got to a point at this stage where everyone is fit, which is great. It gives me selection problems and I’ll have to pick a starting 11 and I bench that I think will impact the game, but I think we’ve had that over the last few games and the last few weeks, where we’ve had real positive impacts from lads who have come off the bench, and that’s what you need.”

Bradford City Manager Graham Alexander: “We just have to make sure that I, first and foremost, don’t get carried away but still care enough about winning and what I believe my players are capable of as a team to keep driving forward and be successful.

"We are a newly-promoted team and it’s only 15 games on. We’ve got another 31 to go at this new level for us as a club.”

Team News

In Thursday's press conference, Steven Schumacher confirmed that he had a 100% clean bill of health to choose from throughout his squad for the first time since joining the Club.

Victor Adeboyejo is back in full contact training following his long injury lay-off and Will Forrester has reacted well to returning to first team action against Oldham last week.
