Match Preview | Wanderers v Rotherham United

Match Preview Rotherham

Steven Schumacher's Wanderers return to the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Boxing Day following a disappointing result at Adams Park last weekend.

But the Whites still remain unbeaten at home this season and will be eyeing up another victory in BL6 following the win over Exeter City two weeks ago.

Rotherham United are on a six game winless run in the league, losing the last three. Their most recent result was a 3-1 home defeat to Huddersfield Town.

But six games earlier the Millers went 9 games undefeated in the league showing how much of an up-and-down League One season it is this year as we near the end of the first half of the campaign.

Press Conferences

Steven Schumacher: "There's a special atmosphere about Boxing Day fixtures and there will hopefully be a really good crowd in and if we can manage to play well and get a win we can send everybody home in a good festive mood.

"This league has shown that a lot of teams are inconsistent, before Rotherham had lost their last three games, they were unbeaten in eight and had a few good wins in there, that just goes to show, you don’t know what you are going to get from a lot of the teams.

"What I do remember is they came to our place last year and found a way to win a game that we completely controlled and dominated, and had 30-odd shots that night, and they won 1-0, so we don’t want that to happen again, that will give them confidence and belief that they can do it.

"They have got some experience, their manager Matt (Hamshaw) is an experienced coach, so we’ve got to play well to win."
