Striker Dan Nlundulu has completed a deadline-day loan move to Cambridge United.
Nlundulu has joined the League One U’s for the rest of the season to enhance his prospects of regular first-team football.
The 25-year-old has not featured for Wanderers so far this season and has slipped down the pecking order at the Toughsheet Community Stadium following the arrival of forward players John McAtee, Klaidi Lolos and Scott Arfield this summer and with Carlos Mendes Gomes getting closer to a return.
Nlundulu – who joined the Whites on a permanent basis last summer following a six-month loan spell from Southampton – has therefore been given the opportunity to further his career at the Abbey Stadium for the remainder of the campaign.
Wanderers' manager Ian Evatt said: “It’s a competitive area of our squad. Dan has had some injury issues, especially last season, and we feel it’s best he goes out and gets regular game time to gain confidence in performances and his body.”
Nlundulu, who scored five times for Wanderers in an injury-hit season in 2023/24, follows Aaron Morley in leaving the Whites on loan, with midfield man Morley last week linking up with Wycombe Wanderers.
