Bolton Wanderers Women are delighted to confirm the signing of six pathway players to the first team who have recently joined the squad from the Women’s pathway.
Over the last few weeks six players have made the step up into the First team through our amazing pathway, Poppy Wallis, Ella Tweedle, Emmanuella Cambell, Tegan Higgins, Ebony Wilkinson and Scarlett Dearden have all made the step up from the reserves to join the first team.
Along with these players, Milla Hodson stepped back into the first team; after playing with them at the start of last season.
Poppy Wallis has been with Wanderers since she was 9 years old and has come through the pathway before making the step up to the first team a few weeks ago. Since joining the team, she has scored two goals and has assisted four others.
Ella Tweedle made her mark on tier 6 with the reserves, netting 21 goals before joining the first team, and has since put away three as well as assisting the team with three more since stepping up.
Emmanuella Cambell is an exciting forward who joined Wanderers three years ago from Manchester City and has also managed to get her name on the goal sheet since joining the first team.
Tegan Higgins is an attacking midfielder who played a big part of our U18s Treble winning side last season and brings energy and tenacity in abundance.
Ebony Wilkinson has previously represented Manchester United U16’s before joining Wanderers last summer.
Scarlett Dearden has been within the Wanderers pathway 5 years and is the most recent of the Reserves players to make the step up to the first team.
Along with these players, Milla Hodson stepped back into the first team; after playing within the first team last season, she now makes the step up permanently. Milla has made an instant impact and has already scored two goals and assisted another.
