The Club's Chief Operations Officer, Phil Mason, has been recognised for 22 years of dedicated service to Bolton Wanderers, receiving an award at the recent EFL & EFL in the Community Annual Meeting held at the InterContinental London – The O2.

The award, presented by Debbie Cook, EFL Director of Community, acknowledged Phil's diverse contributions to the club. These included his roles as Club Chaplain and Chief Executive Officer of Bolton Wanderers in the Community, where he oversaw the charity’s considerable expansion. Ms. Cook also highlighted his support during challenging periods, notably his role in establishing a staff food bank and facilitating interest-free loans during times of financial hardship. His more recent appointment as Chief Operations Officer in July 2023 was also noted.

"It was a complete shock and surprise to receive the award," said Phil. "I have the honour of working in our great Club and holding many different roles over the past 22 years. This is only possible with great people that I have the privilege to work with. It is an honour to work with such good people, along with the fans and the town and to serve the Club in many different ways."

The award recognises Phil's sustained commitment to Bolton Wanderers and his significant contributions to the club, community and town.
