Randall Heads For Seaside

Joel Randall Northampton

Wanderers can confirm that attacking midfielder Joel Randall has this afternoon joined Blackpool on loan for the remainder of the season.

Randall’s move to Bloomfield Road means a reunion with former Wanderers’ manager Ian Evatt, who oversaw the signing of the 26-year-old from League One rivals Peterborough United 12 months ago.

Randall has since made 39 appearances for Wanderers, including 21 starts, and scored two goals. Nine of those starts have come in League One this season, but Randall has not featured in the Whites’ last three games and leaves on loan as head coach Steven Schumacher, who has a number of other options in the 'number-10' position, streamlines his squad.

Randall’s temporary departure follows exits for defenders Will Forrester and Josh Dacres-Cogley, striker Victor Adeboyejo and on-loan goalkeeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe (back to parent club Chelsea) since the January transfer window opened.
