Bolton Wanderers CEO David Ray has thanked supporters for their outstanding backing this season as the Club prepares for Saturday’s play-off semi-final first leg at Toughsheet Community Stadium.
With ticket sales continuing at pace, the Club is anticipating a special atmosphere for the 8pm kick-off against Bradford City, underlining the strength of support throughout the campaign.
“We’ve seen exceptional backing from our supporters all season,” said David. “Attendances have been consistently high and the atmosphere you’ve created - both home and away - has been a real asset to Steven and the lads.
“Saturday is shaping up to be another big occasion. Demand for tickets has been extremely strong and we’re expecting a passionate crowd and a fantastic environment for the players.”
Looking ahead to the two-legged tie, the Wanderers CEO emphasised the importance of maintaining those same standards of support in both fixtures.
“These are high-profile matches and they bring increased attention. It’s important that we continue to represent the Club in the right way, both at home this weekend and in the away leg next week.
“We ask supporters to remain in the stands, not to bring pyrotechnics into the stadium and not to throw objects. These actions carry serious consequences and can impact both individuals and the football club.”
He added: “What we’ve seen throughout the season shows exactly what our supporters are capable of. The atmosphere you create, when it’s positive and unified, gives the team a real lift - that will be important across both games.
“We’re looking forward to seeing a big crowd at the Toughsheet on Saturday and to hearing that support carry through the next game.”
