Team News | Lincoln City v Wanderers

LNER Stadium April 2025

Boss Steven Schumacher gives full EFL debuts to David Abimbola and Sonny Sharples-Ahmed as Wanderers aim to stop a run of three defeats.

Youth striker Abimbola, 18, earns a start after impressing off the bench in Friday’s home defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.

And midfielder Sharples-Ahmed – a late substitute in the 2-0 loss to Wycombe – also gets a chance as the Whites aim to revive their fading play-off hopes.

There is also a re-call for defender Gethin Jones, while Joel Randall has recovered from a knock to take his place among the substitutes as Wanderers bid to complete double over the Imps and potentially move back towards the top six.

Mid-table Lincoln are expecting a near capacity crowd as they look to extend their unbeaten home run to five games as boss Michael Skubala makes three changes to the side that won at Reading on Good Friday.

Wanderers: Baxter, Jones, Murphy, Thomason, Johnston, Dacres-Cogley, Collins, Forino, Matete, Sharples-Ahmed, Abimbola. Substitutes: Southwood (GK), Etete, Lolos, Almeida-Santos, Dempsey, Randall, McAtee.
