Bolton Wanderers can confirm the funeral details of club legend, Tommy Banks.
Tommy sadly passed away last month at the age of 94, and has been associated with the Football Club since signing for the Whites back in the 1940s.
Famously part of the 1958 FA Cup winning side at Wembley, Tommy’s name will forever be etched in Wanderers’ history.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday 17th July at Bolton Parish Church, with a public ceremony starting from 11:30am where everybody is welcome to attend.
This will then be followed by a private committal for Tommy’s family and friends at Overdale Crematorium.
Tommy’s family have also politely requested that any donations in lieu of flowers are to be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, which can be found by clicking here.
There is also a book of remembrance open at the Parish Church in Bolton for those wanting to sign and pay tribute to Tommy. The times this can be done is as follows:
Sunday 14th July: 12:30pm-4:00pm
Monday 15th July: 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Wednesday 17th July: 9:00am - 2:30pm
Once again, the thoughts of everyone at Bolton Wanderers are with Tommy’s loved ones at this difficult time.
