Training Ground Upgraded Thanks To BWDA Grant

Thanks to a grant from the Bolton Wanderers Development Association (BWDA), a brand-new meeting space for Wanderers’ players and staff has now been installed at Lostock Training Ground.

Purpose-built and club branded to provide a bespoke space for tactical meetings and player-staff discussions (as pictured above), the space consists of tiered seating and new flooring and windows.

Ian Evatt, manager at Bolton Wanderers said: “The upgraded meeting room space has provided a really valuable, important and much-used extra facility at the training ground for both players and staff.

“My thanks go to the BWDA for allocating the funds to this particular project, which we are feeling the benefit of week-in, week-out in terms of our planning, preparation and development as we look to keep the club moving forwards on and off the pitch.”

The training ground upgrade is one of a number of BWDA projects either completed or currently in progress at both the Toughsheet Community Stadium and Lostock Training Ground – including the addition of audio-descriptive commentary at home games and updates to stadium CCTV, access control and in-stadia LEDs.

BWDA funds are made available via the BWFC Lotteries scheme, which Wanderers’ supporters can sign up to for the opportunity to win weekly cash prizes ranging from £25 to £2,000!
