The U21s continue their pre-season preparations with a reunion with former Wanderers’ defender Nicky Hunt.
Local lad Hunt, who made over 150 appearances for the Whites in a near 10-year first-team career, is now in charge of Westhoughton-based Daisy Hill.
The North-West Counties League outfit provide the next opposition for Wanderers when the sides meet at the Ginge Power Stadium tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.
The Whites’ U21s, who started out with a 4-0 win at Longridge Town last Saturday, are gearing up for a first season in the Professional Development League after the club’s Academy this week secured promotion to Category 2 status.
Admission to Saturday’s game at the Ginge Power Stadium – which will also be the new home for Bolton Wanderers Women this season in a new link-up between the clubs – is £4 adults and £2 concessions.
Meanwhile, Wanderers’ U18s go to Scotland to take on Rangers in a friendly.
