The young Whites made it two wins out of two in pre-season as a late goal continued their upbeat start to the summer.
One of the trialists being checked out by Wanderers got the winner in the last minute after Daeshon Lawrence had earlier cancelled out Daisy Hill’s lead from the penalty spot.
Whites’ boss Julian Darby again gave time to most of his squad as Wanderers build up to a new campaign in the Professional Development League following the Academy’s up-grade to Category Two status.
Following a comfortable opening-day win at Longridge, Daisy Hill – managed by ex-Wanderers’ defender Nicky Hunt – made it more of a physical test and led at the break through Sam Stewart.
However, Lawrence levelled after being fouled in the penalty area before Wanderers went on to win it to continue their pre-season preparations on a high ahead of a trip to Radcliffe FC next Tuesday night (28th July).
The U18s, meanwhile, played their third warm-up game before also going into a new league and competed well against an impressive Glasgow Rangers side which ran out 2-0 winners at their academy home ground.
