Wanderers under 21’s maintained their 100% start to the Professional Development League season by coming from behind to win 2-1 against Hull City at the MKM Stadium.
Both goalkeepers were busy early on with Luke Lomax in the Bolton goal making two saves from City’s Josh Ocaya. At the other end, both Harry Leigh and Conor Lewis tested Archie Howard in the City goal.
City went ahead in the 50th minute when Damari Daley capitalised on a wayward pass from Charlie Paye to put the hosts in front.
Bolton responded quickly. Finn Wilkinson saw a thirty-yard shot go inches wide
before Sonny Coyne levelled for the Wanderers in the 57th minute with a header over the keeper from a right wing cross.
Hull were reduced to ten men four minutes later, Albert Matique being shown a straight red card for an over the top challenge on Paye.
The winning goal came in the 78th minute from Max Lott, his run down the right being completed with a powerful angled shot from 15 yards.
Toby Ritchie was denied a third goal in injury time with a reflex save by Howard.
Wanderers are now six points clear at the top of the table.
