Atsuki Ito makes his first appearance in a Wanderers’ shirt as he lines up for the U21s against Southampton.
The recent signing plays as an over-age player to build up his match fitness in the Premier League Cup tie at the Toughsheet Community Stadium (KO 7pm).
David Watson also starts alongside the Japanese midfielder and Luke Hutchinson is named in goal as the Whites look for their first win in Group A of the competition.
Southampton, coached by ex-England midfielder Adam Lallana, won their opening game 4-0 against Blackburn Rovers to top the group, while Wanderers were beaten 4-1 at QPR in their only loss so far this season.
Supporters are welcome to attend tonight’s fixture, with admission £3 and £1 payable by card only at turnstile D near to main reception.
