Bolton Wanderers Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of highly-rated midfielder Ethan Erhahon from Lincoln City for an undisclosed fee.
Erhahon puts pen-to-paper on a four-year deal at the Toughsheet Community Stadium amid huge interest, with Wanderers fighting off competition for his signature to ensure he becomes the club’s ninth summer arrival.
With 235 appearances to his name at just 24-years of age, the Scotland Youth international joins Steven Schumacher’s side ahead of the club’s final pre-season game with Preston North End to further bolster Wanderers’ midfield.
A product of St Mirren’s academy north of the border and impressing immensely in their youth setup, Erhahon made his competitive debut for the Buddies at just 16 when taking on Raith Rovers in a Challenge Cup tie.
He quickly became a regular in St Mirren’s starting side, making 123 appearances in a black and white shirt - as well as a short spell in Yorkshire with Barnsley on loan - before joining Lincoln City two years ago.
Erhahon’s time in Lincolnshire has been nothing short of a success since his arrival at the LNER Stadium on Deadline Day in January 2023.
Making an instant impact with his all-action displays in the middle of the park, Erhahon’s performances earned the midfielder the Player of the Year award from the Lincoln supporters, as well as the Players’ Player of the Year trophy, in his first full season at the club.
Making 107 appearances for the Imps whilst helping them to three consecutive top-half finishes in League One, Erhahon - capped to U21 level with his country - now arrives at the Whites looking to help his new club to a successful 2025/26 campaign.
On signing for the club, Ethan Erhahon said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be here.
“I’m delighted to be at a club of this size. My ambitions align with those here at the club and we both want to be at the next level and take this club as far as we can, together. I’m really excited by what’s ahead.
“The week ahead will no doubt fly by now until the start of the season but I can’t wait to get in, meet the lads, and get going.”
Steven Schumacher, Head Coach of Bolton Wanderers, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ethan to our Football Club.
“At just 24 years old and close to 250 appearances to his name, Ethan has emphasised not only his durability and experience at a relatively young age, but the fact we believe there to be scope for him to develop further – both as a player and a person – during his time with us.
"We're excited about the impact Ethan can make in a Wanderers shirt and we look forward to working with him over the coming years."
