Wanderers to Host ‘The Wanderers Family Welcome' Event to Launch New Season

family fun day

Bolton Wanderers is delighted to announce the 'Wanderers Family Welcome', a two-day event designed to bring supporters together at the Toughsheet Community Stadium to launch the 2025/26 season.

With the phenomenal backing of over 16,000 season ticket holders already secured for the upcoming campaign, there is a great deal of anticipation for the season ahead – and these events will be the ideal opportunity for the Wanderers family to connect with the men’s and women’s squads as preparations for the new season intensify.

The activities begin on Saturday, 26th July, ahead of the 3pm pre-season friendly against Preston North End. From 11am, the Leasing Options Fanzone will be open with a host of attractions. Bolton Wanderers in the Community (BWitC) in partnership with the Premier League Fans Fund will host their Bolton Unity Festival bringing together local charities and organisations from across our town. Alongside this BWitC, in partnership with Bolton at Home, will also host a Holiday Activities and Food activation.

The Leasing Options Fan Zone - operational from 12pm - will also be the location for a signing session with members of the title-winning Bolton Wanderers Women's team.

Wanderers’ third kit will also be exclusively revealed during the day.

The day's main event sees Wanderers face their final test before the season begins, with a 3pm kick-off against neighbours Preston North End. The match against the Championship side promises to be a strong challenge and a crucial final preparation for Steven Schumacher's squad ahead of their league opener at Stockport County the following weekend.

The excitement continues on Tuesday, 29th July, with a free-to-attend Family Day. This is a superb chance for supporters of all ages to get closer to their heroes.

The morning begins just after 11am with an Open Training Session on the hallowed turf, where fans can watch the first team being put through their paces from the Carrs Pasties North Stand. Following the session, before the entire first-team squad heads to the Club Shop for a signing session from 1:45pm.

This will give fans the chance to meet our new signings and get their autographs. Please note: in-person sales at the Ticket Office will be suspended while the signing session takes place.

Head Coach Steven Schumacher said: “The support from the 16,000-plus who have already bought their season tickets is incredible, and it gives all of us a huge boost heading into the new season. This is a vital chance for us to strengthen the connection between the squad and our fans before the campaign gets underway. That relationship will be so important in making the Toughsheet a fortress this year. I am looking forward to welcoming everyone for what will be two brilliant days for the club and the community.”
