Bolton Wanderers is pleased to bring to supporters the club’s inaugural Fan Engagement Plan for the 2024/25 season.
This has been produced in line with EFL Regulation 128 in which all clubs across the EFL have been asked to deliver a Fan Engagement Plan (FEP) from season 2024/25. Please find our FEP by clicking here.
Not only does this document illustrate the progress and fantastic work that has been undertaken over previous years, but also outlines the approach to fan engagement and the forward-thinking ways in which the club continually evolves and enhances the connection it holds with Wanderers’ supporters.
As part of this, holding a positive, working relationship with Bolton Wanderers Supporters Trust is key to that strategy.
Signing a Memorandum of Understanding in July 2021 with the greatest body of Wanderers’ supporters – who currently have over 3,500 members – was integral to those communication lines being forged and having the ability to gage feedback on a number of topics that relate to fan engagement.
With the club’s FEP officially submitted to the EFL, the hard work now continues across a number of key areas with the 2024/25 campaign underway.
Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer at Bolton Wanderers, said: “When I first arrived at Bolton Wanderers back in July 2021, one of my first orders of business as CEO was to build a bond and relationship with the incredible supporter base that we have at this Football Club, and the clearest way to do this was through the Supporters Trust - who are the largest organised body of supporters.
"We always remain committed to speaking with any supporter, any time, on any subject and our monthly meetings with the Trust have been a permanent fixture in my diary over the last three years.
“There is no doubt that we have made incredible strides forward over recent years, with so many examples to reference, but the exciting part of our FEP is that we know there is still a great deal of work to do that will only strengthen our approach to fan engagement.
“The introduction of Regulation 128 is a crucial first step across the EFL and is something that we as a club have wholeheartedly embraced.
"Not only does it allow time for positive reflection on the progress that has been made but acts as a commitment to you on how we continue to be innovative, be collaborative but lastly – be transparent and communicative with every decision we make.
“Everything we do at Bolton Wanderers is with the best interests of you, our supporters, in mind and we look forward to continually enhancing our strategy towards Fan Engagement moving forward.”
