Wanderers Supports Together Against Racism

Bolton Wanderers is proud to support the EFL's Together Against Racism campaign, taking place from 16-26 October 2026 with the Club marking the campaign during its fixture against Middlesbrough on Friday 23rd October.

Wanderers' players will players will warm up in dedicated t-shirts supporting the campaign ahead of the Sky Bet Championship clash, live on TV.

The campaign unites the EFL and all 72 Clubs in challenging racism wherever it occurs and reinforces the message that racism has no place in football, online or within our communities.

At Wanderers, we remain committed to creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued and able to enjoy football free from racism and all forms of discrimination.

A key focus of this season's Together Against Racism campaign is encouraging supporters to report racism directly to Clubs as soon as it happens. Evidence from across the EFL shows that early reporting gives Clubs, stewards and authorities the best opportunity to identify offenders and take action.

Last season, 63% of live racism incidents reported directly to Clubs resulted in an individual being identified and action being taken, making direct reports more than twice as effective as incidents reported after a match. Almost nine in every 10 successful identifications came from reports made directly to Clubs on matchday.

Paul Holliday, Group Head of Communications and Marketing, said:

"Everyone at Wanderers is proud to support Together Against Racism and stand alongside Clubs across the EFL in sending a clear message that racism will not be tolerated.

The strength and power of football lies in its ability to unite people and create a sense of belonging but that can only happen when everyone feels respected and welcome. Reporting incidents of racism plays an important role in helping us achieve that.

If you witness racism, we urge you to report it immediately through the Club’s reporting channels or to a steward.  Your report can make a real difference, helping us investigate concerns, take appropriate action and create a better matchday experience for all our supporters."

If you do see any behaviour that needs reporting, there are multiple ways to do so:

  • Text: 07542 850902 (please include block, row, and seat number where possible).
  • Email: safeguarding@bwfc.co.uk
  • In-Stadium: Alert your nearest steward immediately. All reports will be treated with the strictest confidence.

For other ways of reporting racist or discriminatory behaviour, please use: https://www.kickitout.org/report or https://www.efl.com/inclusion/report-discrimination

Together, we can ensure football remains a place where everyone belongs.
