Women's Preview | FC United V Wanderers

Bolton Wanderers Women travel to Broadhurst Park this weekend looking to build on their positive start to 2026, having picked up all three points last weekend against third-placed West Didsbury and Chorlton despite difficult weather conditions.

This fixture was originally scheduled for November but was postponed due to adverse weather.

Further strengthening his squad, Tom Cunniff made another addition over the festive period with the return of Flo Rigby. After spending the summer stateside, Rigby has re-signed for Wanderers, returning to the club where she made a big impression last season.

The last time the two sides met, Wanderers suffered a 4–2 defeat. Despite threatening a comeback on two occasions, a late fightback proved insufficient as the hosts claimed all three points.

United trail Wanderers by just four points and come into the fixture on the back of an emphatic 5–1 victory over Curzon Ashton last weekend. With games in hand, they will be eager to build on that momentum and close the gap on the teams above them in the table.

Wanderers, meanwhile, will be keen to carry forward the momentum they have built since that meeting as they look to close the gap on the sides occupying second and third place.
