Bolton Wanderers Women earned their 15th consecutive league win on Sunday afternoon when defeating Blackpool 5-0 at Lostock Training Ground.
Victory ensures Wanderers maintain their six-point cushion at the top of the Division One North table, with Jess Lightfoot's brace - taking her through 20 goals for the season - as well as Faye Knox's hat-trick securing the win in style.
Myles Smith named an unchanged starting side from last weekend's win over Morecambe, with Liv Ball and Eva Williams named on the bench - in place of Milla Hodson and Flo Rigby.
The visitors arrived at Lostock at the wrong end of the table, but provided a stern test for Wanderers - especially inside the opening 45 minutes with their resolute set-up and approach, as well as their desire to defend.
They created the first opportunity of the game, too, as Leah Fielding lined up a free-kick inside the opening two minutes, but Eve Ebanks watched the effort sail over the crossbar.
That trigged the Whites into action and Faye Knox - who would cause Blackpool problems all afternoon down Wanderers' left - got to work early in helping to push the hosts onto the front foot.

Inside the opening ten minutes, the wing-back tested the reactions of Rhiana Moore twice with efforts from the edge of the area, but the 'Pool keeper - who proved a tough opponent to beat between the posts throughout the afternoon - was up to the task with two smart saves.
But the tone had been set by Wanderers, who were now in full flow. A Charlotte Tyers corner was met superbly by Erin Smith with a towering header that looked destined for the back of the net, but Moore once again made a smart save.
Moore continued to be kept busy, with Jess Lightfoot then denied from a tight angle through an outstanding reaction save, before the Seasiders' defence beat Gordon to the rebound to clear.
Eboni Bradshaw came close two minutes later when her clever run was picked out superbly by Knox with a deft, reverse pass that opened up the Tangerines' defence, but Moore stood firm once again with a block.
But Wanderers’ persistence paid off when a move that started from Ebanks in Wanderers' goal, ended with Knox splitting the Blackpool defence with a perfectly-weighted pass to find Jess Lightfoot, who calmly controlled and finished emphatically to open the scoring and secure her 20th goal of the campaign.

With the opener behind them, the Whites went in search of more goals and continued in the ascendency throughout the first half and went close when a Tyers' corner was only half-cleared, but Eboni Bradshaw's half-volley flew over Moore's crossbar.
Blackpool were standing firm before half-time but Knox continued to test Moore with an all-action performance. First, quick feet freed her into space to let fly with a powerful effort from 25 yards - which was well-saved - before a free-kick that looked destined for the top corner was tipped around the post superbly by Moore.
After the half-time break, Myles Smith's side continued to dominate and Tyers forced Moore into a decent save early on with a strike on the turn, before Bradshaw teed up Lightfoot for a snapshot that rolled just wide of Moore's right-hand post.
But Wanderers didn't have to wait long to extend their lead with Lightfoot grabbing her second, but had Neishai Gordon to thank for the superb assist. The attacking midfielder opened up the defence with an inch-perfect threaded pass to release Jess into open space and she found the bottom corner with confidence.

With a two-goal cushion, Wanderers freshened up their side with Chloe Ardin, Madison Hardman and Liv Ball introduced into the action and it didn't take the latter long to have a huge impact on the game.
An outstanding pass from the defender put Knox in-behind the Blackpool defence and she drove into the area before slotting home calmly to make it three with just over twenty minutes to go.
It was almost a quick-fire double when an Eleanor Seals free-kick two minutes later was inch-perfect and found Hardman at the far post, but Moore made another decent save before Neishai Gordon fired over the rebound through a number of bodies.
After going close with a free-kick inside the opening 45 minutes, Knox magnificently made it 4-0 when taking aim once again from a set-piece. Lining it up from 25 yards, her effort flew over the wall and was too much for Moore - who got a hand to the strike - and found the roof of the net.

Emme Shone and Eva Williams entered the action off-the-bench as Wanderers controlled the back-end of the game, and Eva had a hand in the final action of the afternoon with an assist to set-up Knox's hat-trick.
Her low cross found Knox at the far post, and the Wales' youth international curled a strike into the top left-hand corner from a ridiculous angle to grab her third - and Wanderers' fifth - to seal a superb team performance.
With victory secured, Wanderers turn their attention to the Alliance Print and Design Cup next weekend, travelling to face Poulton Vics Women on Sunday 9th February.
