Following their defeat last weekend, Bolton Wanderers Women switch cup focus to the Challenge Cup on Sunday afternoon when taking on Preston North End in a Semi Final clash at Chorley FC's Victory Park (free entry for supporters).
Suffering just their second defeat all season, and despite Eboni Bradshaw's leveller in Wallasey against Poulton Vics last weekend, Wanderers were edged out 2-1 in the Third Round of the Alliance Design and Print Cup.
With this in mind, the Whites will be looking to respond in positive fashion against a side they experienced success against earlier in their league campaign.
Back in September, a Milla Hodson brace - including a stunning first goal into the top corner to draw Wanderers level - as well as a customary Jess Lightfoot goal, secured a hard-fought 3-1 win in torrential conditions away from home.
Myles Smith's side know the threat that PNE pose, however, with the visitors on Sunday afternoon losing just one in their last six fixture - with a confident 5-0 win last time out against Fleetwood Town in the Alliance Design and Print Cup.
PNE currently sit sixth in the Division One North - where Wanderers carry a six-point cushion at the top - but North End have a number of games-in-hand on teams above them to push further up the table, having lost just three games from their 10 played thus far.
But despite defeat last weekend, Wanderers arrive into this game in determined mood, and want to react in the best possible way and secure their place in next month's final.
With a number of returnees to matchday squads in recent weeks - including Hannah Baldwin and Lily Barnes - with 'keeper Annabelle White also making positive strides forward with her injury, as well as captain Katie Holt being available for selection once more, the mood is positive inside Wanderers' camp ahead of sunday.
Myles Smith, Women's manager, said: "There is an excitement around the group and rightly so - it's a Cup Semi Final.
"You want to win these games, get to the Final and lift that trophy. We've said all season that the league is our priority but as I've said before, we want to win every single game that we can - especially on the back of a loss.
"For me, the best way to fix that is to win - and that's what the team want to do. So, we'll be going out there to win the game, play as strong a team as we can and hopefully take another step towards lifting that trophy."
Entry on Sunday afternoon is free of charge at Victory Park - so head down this weekend and help cheer the team on to the Final!
