Player Biography

Poppy Wallis began playing football at the age of seven with Peddington Diamonds, where she spent one season before moving on to Leigh Genesis.

It was during her time with Leigh that Poppy first came up against Bolton Wanderers – an experience which left such an impression that she decided she wanted to join the club herself.

She made the move to Wanderers at the age of nine and has remained with the club ever since, progressing through the pathway before making the step up into the Women’s team.

Poppy has already enjoyed a number of memorable achievements during her time with Bolton, including winning the treble with the Under-18s and lifting the Barcelona Girls Cup.

She also considers progressing through the club’s pathway and earning the opportunity to step into the Women’s set-up among the proudest moments of her career, with the experience helping her continue to develop as a player.

A winger who can also operate in the No.10 role, Poppy describes herself as hard-working, quick and a good team player.

Her ambitions are to help Wanderers progress and earn promotion as a team, while continuing to develop both on and off the pitch.
