Scarlett Dearden began playing football at the age of eight with local side Myerscough, having been encouraged into the game through the influence of her dad and brother.
Her football journey has also included time with Preston North End and Blackpool Wyre and Fylde district, before finding her way to Bolton Wanderers around six years ago. After hearing about Wanderers through friends she had previously played alongside, Scarlett attended a number of training sessions before joining the club.
A composed, determined and hardworking defensive midfielder, who can also operate across the back line, Scarlett has already enjoyed a number of memorable moments during her time with Wanderers.
She has won the Greater Manchester League on multiple occasions with Bolton's youth teams, as well as the County Cup, and was part of the side which won the Barcelona Cup in 2024. She also helped Wanderers' Under-18s complete a treble and names making her FA Cup debut at the age of 16 among the proudest achievements of her career so far.
Her individual honours at Bolton have included both Players' Player and Manager's Player awards, while she has also received a Manager's Player award with her district team.
Scarlett's ambitions are to help Wanderers earn promotion and progress as far as possible in the cup competitions, while continuing to develop and become the best version of herself as a player.

Bruno Fernandes was Scarlett's footballing idol growing up, while her earliest memory of watching the game is attending a Manchester United Women fixture at Leigh Sports Village.
Away from football, she enjoys spending time with friends, shopping, playing padel and going out for food. Scarlett is currently studying BTEC Sport at college and hopes to progress to university to study physiotherapy. She also works weekends as a waitress in a café.
Her pre-match superstition is to put on her right shin pad, sock and boot before doing the same on her left.
