Katie Robertson began playing football at the age of five with Unicorn JFC, starting a journey that has since taken her through a number of clubs including Altrincham, Burnley, Wigan, Stoke City and Crewe Alexandra.
She joined Bolton Wanderers after completing trials for the club’s Under-16s, attracted by the opportunity to play at a high level and continue developing her game.
Katie has already enjoyed significant success during her time with Wanderers. Among her proudest achievements are winning the treble with Bolton’s Under-18s and progressing into the Women’s first-team environment.
She has also represented Greater Manchester at Under-16 level, winning a trophy with the county side, while her individual recognition at Bolton has included the Under-16s Players’ Player award and the Under-18s Manager’s Player award.
A calm and composed central midfielder, Katie describes herself as an intelligent and technically strong player. Passing, vision and awareness of the pitch are among the qualities she identifies as her biggest strengths.
Her ambition with Wanderers is to continue developing and establish herself as a regular starter in the future.
