Dacres-Cogley has been an outlet all night and he is able to break in-behind the Vale defence once again. He checks back onto his right and fires a ball across looking for Jerome, but Lewis Cass gets back to clear.

A potentially dangerous free-kick for us as Iredale tries to fire a low cross across the face of goal, but his radar is slightly off and it's comfortable for Leutwiler.

Victor Adeboyejo almosts carves out a chance for himself, with a lovely flick over the Vale defence, but they scramble back to initially block. Vic lays it back for Dion to hit, but doesn't strike cleanly and it goes wide.

Will Forrester, as he has done all night, comes bursting forward. He plays a one-two with Adeboyejo and gets a yard to shoot from the edge of the area, but a big block denies it heading goalwards.

It's two as Adeboyejo and Charles link nicely to allow Dion to play Carlos through, and he confidently finds the back of the net!

First, Thomason releases Dacres-Cogley with a lovely ball over the top, but his cross is off.

We recycle the ball and Mendes Gomes and Adeboyejo combine nicely to allow Carlos to break into the area and pull the ball back, but Vale get back and clear for a corner.

Ikpeazu is causing us some problems at the start of the second half, and he meets a long throw from Jesse Debrah ahead of Will Forrester in the air, forcing Coleman to tip over.

Set-play is off and we can clear our lines with the goal-kick.

It's a poor delivery in the end from Chislett and Ashworth is able to clear at the near post.

We clear the next corner initially, but a nice switch of play puts Gavin Massey in some space. He tries to drill a ball in and it deflects behind again for a corner, that we clear through Charles.

First real action Joel Coleman has had to face tonight, and Ikpeazu holds off the challenge of Iredale and gets his shot away, which Coleman pushes behind for a corner. 

From the set-play, it's that man again who is first to the ball, but his header takes a deflection and goes over for another.

Ikpeazu looks to meet a cross from the right hand side, but only glances the header away from goal instead of making real contact.

The game has slowed slightly, but we're still well in control and seeing a lot of the ball.

The Vale keeper comes a long way out of goal looking to get to a ball before Charles down the right. Dion nips in and takes it before crossing the ball into the Vale box, but the visitors are able to be first to the ball and clear.

More nice play allows Dacres-Cogley to drill a ball across from the right. The ball comes off Adeboyejo and looks to be into the path of Ashworth, but Debrah gets there first despite appeals for a penalty.

Maghoma picked up the loose ball and looked to get his shot away after jinking to find a yard on the edge, but his effort is cleared.

Coleman fumbles a Chislett cross from the right, and Conlon tries to nip in and stab the ball away from Joel and goes down to big appeals, but the referee waves it away.

It feels quite open this game, and we come close to adding a second. Will Forrester typically carries the ball forward to join the attack and finds himself on the edge of the Vale area. 

He lays it off for Charles who control and stabs a low effort towards goal, but Leutwiler is down to save - initially fumbling before gathering on the second attempt with Ashworth closing in.

Wanderers come forward again, as Kyle Dempsey brings down a lovelt Iredale diagonal ball over the top. He finds the space to get a shot away but unselfishly tried to find Dion for his second, and Debrah gets back to close Charles off.

Great ball in down the right from the visitors as Walters flashes a ball across Coleman's goal, and Forrester does well to get out the way and stop himself from diverting it into his own net. A reminder from Vale, there.

In the immediate minutes following Dion's opener, it's been all Wanderers as they look to extend the lead.

First, Dion looked for a quickfire double with an effort from 25 yards, but Leutwiler was down to save.

Then lovely play from Adeboyejo put Dacres-Cogley away down the right. He whipped a ball in looking for Charles, but it just evades him.

Adeboyejo causes problems for the Vale defence from a ball over the top, allowing Kyle Dempsey to break. He squares it across goal and Dion Charles has the easy task of finishing from close range!

First real opening for us as nice play between Forrester and Adeboyejo allows Dion to play Dacres-Cogley into space down the right. Josh sets it back for Dion to take a touch and hit it, but he can't find the target from a tight angle.

Kyle Dempsey reads a Vale pass out of defence well and looks to spring Wanderers into a counter attack. He looks to find Dion but it's just off and the away side scramble back.

A long Jesse Debrah throw from the right hand side bounces and falls nicely into the path of Ryan Loft. He meets it with his head, but his header loops over Joel Coleman's bar.

Some nice, quick play between Forrester, Dempsey, Charles and then Morley allows Aaron to ping about out to Ashworth beautifully in space, but Zac's through ball to Paris is just off.
