Match Preview Blackpool

Wanderers return to action this Saturday after a welcome break in midweek following last weekend's 1-1 draw with Lincoln City.

Steven Schumacher takes his side to Blackpool in search of a win after three consecutive 1-1 draws against Barnsley, Reading and Lincoln City.

Blackpool haven't made the start they would have wanted with just one win in their first five league games, alebit their one victory came against promotion favourites Huddersfield Town.

But defeats to Stevenage, Exeter City, Mansfield Town and Plymouth Argyle have the Tangerines sat 20th after five games on three points.

Press Conferences

Steven Schumacher: "We're aware of how they've started the season. They haven't had the results they would have wanted, similar to ourselves we would have wanted more points on the board.

"A big game like this can certainly lift everybody, we know how important the game is to the fans. It's a huge one and it's a tough place to go".

Blackpool Boss Steve Bruce: "Bolton are going to be there or thereabouts and we know there's a rivalry between the two clubs which has gone back since the 50's.

"So we're aware of it. We know about it. And if anything, we can put a poorish start behind us. Now is the time to put it right against a very decent Bolton team."

Team News

Jordi Osei-Tutu remains absent from the squad with a hamstring issue. Sam Dalby completed 45 minutes in a game at Carrington against a Manchester United XI on Wednesday.

Richard Taylor also played in that game, reaching 60 minutes with both players increasing their match sharpness ahead of the Blackpool game on Saturday.

Blackpool have been given a boost on the injury front with Fraser Horsfall and Ashley Fletcher back in contention after ankle and hamstring problems respectively.

The Tangerines will still be without Niall Ennis who serves his third and final game of his suspension after receiving a red card in Blackpool's 3-2 win over Huddersfield. A match in which Ennis scored two of his side's three goals.
