The U21s face their toughest pre-season test so far when they go to Radcliffe FC tonight (Tuesday).
On a double-header date of friendly action for the Whites' academy sides, Julian Darby takes his squad to the Neuven Stadium to face National League North opposition.
Wanderers have so far beaten Longridge Town and Daisy Hill in their opening two friendlies but raise the stakes when they face a Radcliffe side whose pre-season schedule has so far included a win over Shrewsbury Town and a draw against Barrow.
Kick-off against Boro – who start their league campaign on Saturday, 8th August – is at 7.45pm.
The Whites are building up towards a first season in the Professional Development League at both U21 and U18 level with the youth team playing a friendly against Blackpool today following wins over Port Vale and Preston in the last week.
Asa Littler has continued to rattle in the goals with both in a 2-0 win over Preston and another in a 4-0 victory over Vale, when Sonny Coyne, Alfie Baxter and Dan Ogboru were also on target.
