Dion Charles plays a ball in-behind Odimayo looking for Randell Williams. The ball looks to be going out, but Randell does brilliantly to collect and and cross, forcing a corner.

The resulting set-play is cleared.

We come forward again as Dacres-Cogley squares a ball for Dion Charles, who peeled off his man nicely, to hit a low effort from inside the area but it's straight at Lee Burge.

In typical Dion Charles fashion, he wins the ball high. He is fouled but advantage is played, allowing Dion to drive down-field. He hits it from 25 yards, but it's always rising and goes over the bar.

We're back on the front foot and two nice passes from Thomason and then Williams almost finds Charles inside the area but Sherring just about clears.

The away side win a free-kick inside our half, and Mitch Pinnock lets one fly from 30 yards, but it's comfortable for Nathan Baxter.

A loose pass from the back from Nathan Baxter allows Northampton to win it high through Hoskins. He drives into the area, but an important block from Santos forces it behind.

Toal clears the resulting corner, before Pinnock fires an effort not far over from all of 35 yards.

For the first time in this opening 45, there's a chance to breath as our fast-paced play has earned this two-goal lead. The away side are trying to work themselves back into the game and have spent a bit more time inside our half, but have not threatened Nathan Baxter's goal - who has been mostly a spectator.

We come forward once again and a lovely flick from Dion Charles releases Aaron Morley into space. Aaron opts against whipping a ball in first time and looks to take on Monthe, but the Northampton man does well to defend it and win the foul as Morley burst into the area.

The away side burst forward through Pinnock, and he tries to play in McWilliams on-goal, but Toaly reads it well to intercept, win another tackle, and keep possession.

Just through the half hour, and we're playing some lovely stuff. The latest move ended with Jones whipping a cross in from the right first-time, but Northampton just scramble to get a touch ahed of Dion and Victor.

Northampton threaten for the first time on the counter as McWilliams knocks a ball into space in behind Eoin Toal, but Toaly matches him every step of the way to get to the ball first and regain possession.

A defence splitting ball from Aaron Morley puts Randell in, and he cuts inside and finishes confidently!

The resulting corner finds Eoin Toal at the back post who heads it back across goal. Ricardo Almeida Santos collects and shoots quickly on the turn from close range, but Burge throws himself in front of the effort.

The goal has only given us more confidence at the start of this game, and we come flooding forward again through George Thomason. He lays it off to Randell Williams rather than shooting, and his pull-back is turned behind for a corner. 

That is cleared, but we come again as Williams is again finding joy in-behind, with Burge turning the ball over again.

So close to a second as Adeboyejo does brilliantly to keep possession and beat a couple of Northampton players. He picks himself up, still with the ball, to shoot but it goes wide.

We're seeing a lot of the ball inside the opening few minutes, and the ever-willing runner of Victor Adeboyejo does well to force a ball down the line to be turned behind for a corner by a Northampton man.

The initial corner is cleared, and the pressure is lifted with a misplaced pass from us for a goal-kick.

There has been attacking intent from both sides inside the opening couple of minutes, with Ian Evatt's side threatening first as Charles looked dangerous inside the area, but the away side scramble to clear.

Then Northampton go down-field and win a corner, but big blocks from Wanderers as they work it to Hoskins on the edge of the area to hit it.
